Auburn will be host to several new entertainment establishments in the upcoming months…. 17-16, Bar 51 and The Rodeo Grille.
17-16 is located downtown across from Buffalo’s American Grill. They will offer six beers on tap, along with any other type of beer you can imagine in bottles. This bar is also going to serve as a breakfast eating establishment. 17-16 will open as a bar from 5:00pm to 2:00am. Once the bar closes at 2, it will then become a restaurant serving breakfast entries until 2:00pm the next afternoon! A new and different approach for the Auburn entertainment scene. As of today, 17-16 is now open!
Bar 51 is going to be located on South College street in the shopping center across from the Ford dealership. It’s going to be at the opposite end from Philly Connection. According to the article, this type of bar is one that has never been seen in Auburn. It will include an outside deck with acoustic entertainment and a private room that will be available for rent… the room includes your own bartender too! Bar 51 is slated to open in May.
The Rodeo Grille will be located behind the Waffle House on Opelika Highway next to Golds Gym. This is also going to bring a new type of bar to the area, coined as a country, hip-hop, and sports bar all in one. It also will have one of Lee county’s only mechanical bulls. This should provide plenty of entertainment inside the bar as each night wears on
Also, just a note on some other watering holes around town. Highlands has been under renovation and is expected to open soon with a whole new layout inside. The Supper Club is now hosting Sportscall X. Bodega is now serving Mexican food. Bourbon Street is also going through renovations.
